Mazda M5OD Confusing leak
Have a M5OD and I see red fluid under it. Did the rail plug fix with dorman 555-108 and synthetic rtv seal. Still leaking. The gasket for the top cover is all intact and looks very good. Not sure where else it’s leaking from. I’m thinking it might be the mating surface between the tranny and the transfer case. Where else do these things leak from? And it only does it after driving

Either you are correct or perhaps the plugs are leaking again. I suggest you clean any fluid from under the truck and body and take it for a short drive to get to operating temp and head back home and get under it and see what and where it's leaking. The cover gasket has never been an issue that I know of and is reusable. Let us know what you find. .Until you find the issue and repair it, keep a close eye on your fluid level.
