Hello, New to the forum. I am asking for a product review and a confirmation that I am on the right track. I have a 1988 F250 that has one brake light that is not getting power. I have turn signals running lights and one brake light. Just one rear stop light not working, Am I right to assume that it is in the Turn signal switch? I replaced this serval years back with a Standard products brand unit but the plastic seemed cheap and the signal lever did not want to stay in position as the plastic deformed over time. If this is where my problem are TRQ electrical products any better? was not impressed with Standard brand. Any other recommendations?
Have you checked the voltage at the socket? It sounds like maybe you have. See how the wiring goes, did someone hack in a trailer connector and screw something up? Often times connections can get corroded and cause an issue like you're having.
As far as I know, I have found the problem is in the signal control switch it heated up and curled up away from the contacts again, Cheap aftermarket switches. Almost done replacing with another simi cheap aftermarket switch, I was not able to find a NOS for tilt wheel.
