Seat change
I’m looking to put a bench seat from the 05 or 11th gen model crew cab in my 1981 f100 single cab. Before I buy though, I was wondering what I would need, how fitment would look, and how simply can I do it?

The thing to think about is the seat back if it folds to get behind the seat like the 81 dose.
IIRC the crew front dose not fold and thought the rear, on older models, had a different floor bolt pattern but not 100% sure on the floor part.
How bad is the 81 seat can it do recovered if the springs are not broken?
The seat that came out of my truck the springs were broken and might have been able to fix but I had another so did not look at it that close.
I know you can get the factory covers, hog ring not tie on, but think no foam so would need to come up with that. Should be easy to get at a hobby store.

Seems everything from 80 to 96 works. Might be some minor mods for 87 to 96 into 80 to 86. People do it.
