New Injectors

Installing 8 new injectors.
Is there anything else I should address while I am in there?

Did this on my grandson's '05 last November.
Replaced:
Stand pipes dummy plugs and o rings
Nipple seals
New design nipples from HHC (supposed to keep high pressure oil from destroying injector top o rings.)

If it's an '05 or later, STC fitting.

Hopefully you chose some quality injectors. There is a lot of marginal quality choices out there ........................

Especially with injectors, "new" doesn't always mean "better"!

I was looking at the Motorcraft Remans at Rockauto. Is there a better choice?
I cannot find Motorcraft dummy plugs & standpipes or nipple seals. What would be a good choice for them?
I will be doing this in a couple of weeks.

My preference is Auto Nation White Bear Lake for genuine Ford parts.

They will have injectors and standpipes and dummy plugs.

If you need part numbers, just ask.

Yes, that's a good article. It's the reason I finally went with the HHC seals/nipples. Every 6 months the top injector seals would fail. First would be long start hot, then long start cold or hot, then no start. Keeping my fingers crossed that these will last. Truck is still running good since November, knock on wood.
