clutch housing
I have a clutch housing ,E4HT-7500-AA ,it was bolted to a 429 Lima truck engine ,with a Eaton FS4005A transmission .It has two different bolt patterns ,the Eaton transmission was bolted to the inner ,smaller bolt pattern .what other manual transmission would bolt to it ?the input shaft of the Eaton is a little over 6" long .I am looking for a beefier transmission to handle 500+ torque from the modified 460 .did Ford offer other longer clutch/bell housing for mating a 429 truck engine to a manual transmission with a 9" input shaft .I have a lead on a Eaton fs5106a 6 speed ,for a good price .I have started to call around asking for the dimensions of any ford E-ht-7500 --- transmission .dose the last letters denote the length or fitment off the clutch housing ? .I have the 1980s master parts catalog on my computer.

I found a Eaton 6 speed transmission locally ,a fs5106a for $500.I went TPI ,typed in that model and they listed the same transmission they had in stock .then I scrowed to the bottom of the page ,they listed all the other parts that came off the same truck as the transmission I searched .they listed the clutch/bell housing for the truck and transmission that came on that truck .they list the VIN so I could verify the clutch housing was for a 429 truck engine .I feel TPI is a good source for truck parts and info if you are searching .
