I assume when you say "the housing for the clutch" you are talking about the bell housing. If it is broken, your only option is replace it. If it is just a minor crack, you might be able to have it welded, but generally a broken bell housing will be scrap metal.

As for a source for a replacement, it would be junkyard, ebay, craigslist, or the classified section her on the forum.

If you buy a replacement, BE SURE it is from a diesel... the bolt pattern for the International Harvester IDI diesels are extremely similar in appearance to the big block Ford bellhousings, but they are different and will not interchange. I would not recommend a repair job since your hydraulic clutch cylinder mounts directly to the housing and places stress on it every time you clutch. Depending on where the crack is, and the quality of the weld it could pose a safety issue.... at least that's what I would do.

Like Ford f834 said make sure IT IS for a diesel!!! I got a diesel parts truck for my truck, which has a 460, and kept the bell housing, amongst lots of other stuff, only to find out they are identical in size and design, but bolt holes and dowel pins are completely different side by side.
