Do the shifter boots mount to the tranny cover and then the vinyl flooring go over the boots? Any pics if you have them. I just want to figure out how that goes in case I have to pull some floor up before putting a seat in the truck. I still havent cut the T/C shifter hole yet.
My '67 has the original rubber carpet and the original boot. The rubber mat was cut in a square with rounded corners to match the boot with the mat covering the screws. I'm replacing my mat and boot and I have been looking at aftermarket boots that use a chrome trim ring and screwing the trim and boot on top of the rubber mat. The other choice might be to get an original style boot and just screw it on top of the rubber mat and leave the screws exposed..
