I have a 2020 pre-covid build. 46k miles here no issue other than the front main seal easy fix. That catastrophic failure thread has been nothing but drama lately with no real evidence either way. Got a buddy with a 2022 7.3 no issues around 30-40k. Prob not as high miles as your looking for but that's all I got I should add. I do a lot of stop go driving, bad traffic were I'm at. 5k oil changes ford oil 5w30 synth blend.

Mine is closing in on 65k miles. I use it for everything, towing light to heavy, plowing snow at my 20 accounts in the winter, cross country trips etc. Has not needed anything but gas oil and tires. Never seen the inside of a dealership service center. I change the oil very 5k miles with full synthetic. Differentials and t-case were changed at 20k and will be done again before next winter. Also planning a trans service this summer. The "problems" are serious overblown, mostly by diesel guys with regrets for spending way too much on an engine that is only marginally more capable and probably not as reliable...

I have around 50k on 2021 7.3. No issues. Farm highway towing something all the time well about 40%. Hay cattle equipment tractor etc. lots of putting around on farm to highway miles. I use it for everything from farm regular commute vehicle to vacations. Only gripe i have is My kids are not tall enough to wash it yet. 😂. I do have to stop every so often and fix the windshield wiper arm. I am told they will fix this as it was a recall but I either don’t have time or they have to order the fix at dealership. I do my own oil changes but thinking of getting dealership to do next one to get the wiper arm recall done. But i am so busy I haven’t made time to do this. Love the truck. My towing is anywhere from 7500 to 20k . Love the simplicity of truck. Maintenance is simple so far. If gas prices would drop like the were I would turn kart wheels.

I have 4 trucks with the 7.3L in my land clearing / mulching business all tow heavy and are used daily . Maybe around 60k miles on all of them combined. Only issue is a spark plug wire with one truck. I do my own oil changes / maint. on all of them. I also have had many more trucks with 7.3L in the 5 Star days (like 4) no issues with those either. Very happy with the gas engine most of my maint. time go towards all my equipment as its diesel and hydraulics.

Have three 2021 F350 SRW long beds.
One has 75k, no issues
One has 80k, no issues
The 3rd has 129k, putting a new motor in it after it apparently failed. At $13k cost for a new engine, I'm thinking I should have just gone with the damn diesel.
I just started a thread with the details. We have 4 other pre 2020 trucks, all with the 6.2, no issues at all and one has over 300k miles. Check that, I replaced a transfer case in one of them, but the engines have all been trouble free.
All this new technology and massive price tags, but dependability is not there.
They charged me $1100.00 to change 5 spark plugs and a coil. It was going to cost $3,000.00 for them to tell me why the engine won't start AFTER the spark plugs were changed and the motor was running fine, then shut down while in their possession. This is robbery.

Oh man. 129k miles and engine failed. That is not good. Do they know what caused the failure. I have a 2021 srw long bed. So far 50k plus I have not had any issues yet. Of course only time and miles will tell. I bought this truck because of the simplicity of the engine no overhead cams and I just wanted something that was simple and hard working. Sorry to hear. I will have to check your thread out for the details for sure. Hopefully they all don’t start failing at that mileage.

they "think" it's a camshaft, but I'm not going to.pay them $3,000.00 to dig into it for 1 whole hour just to tell me I need to spend another $13,000.00 on a new engine. At this point, I'm putting a new engine in it and am damn glad this is a company truck and I'm also damn glad my personal truck is a diesel F450 that I will never hang on to without some kind of a warranty or service contract.
