Clutch

I own a Ford F150 2001 6cyl 4.2l less than 32k miles on it, very light duty.
I just broke my pressure plate in 2 and shattered all kind of parts inside the housing...Is this common? is it supposed to happen so soon?

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated;
