Forscan upgrade
Years ago I put my first ODB-II diagnostic software on my laptop -- OBDCOM. It's served me well and I never had an issue with it.
Meanwhile, a long-time friend and Ford mechanic used Ford's proprietary software for his shop work, and later maintained the license for his personal use. The price was a bit staggering, so I continued using OBDCOM and later the free version of Forscan. (Note that the displays and layout of OBDCOM still seem superior.)
Anyway, I updated Forscan to the current version over the weekend and wandered over to the "update to the paid version" page. I'd been so shocked at the price of Ford's software that I never considered paying Forscan to upgrade. I was again shocked to learn that it's a paltry $12/year.
I'd have updated from day 1 if the price/cost was displayed on the main page.
