I have a 62 F100 unibody has inline 6. my question I have the CPP kit for disc conversion they had all kind of directions for spindle and caliper install but fell flat on master cyl. The biggest question I have with the new dual bowl should I still route thru thr divider down behind steering gear box? Or run new lines (which I want to do since these seem to be original all the way back) The question is still the little divider?
About those proportioning valves. Disk/Drum valves are readily available and are not expensive, about 45-50 bucks. The ones I bought were marked "PV2" and were easily installed...one issue..., the outlet to the rear fitting is 9/16 x 18 but the line size is 1/4 inch. Your truck uses 3/16 inch line throughout. The 1/4 inch line flange on the PV2 will not fit properly. You may get away with using a 3/16 line on a 1/4 inch flair fitting but it is likely to leak. The solution is to locate a PV2 that has a 9/16 x 18 with a 3/16 outlet flair. The other possibility is use 1/4 inch line to the rear like GM does. I would talk with CPP about this issue an see if they can help.
Thanks guys the 1/4 line sounds good but then have to redo block in back gonna try ans stay as original as I can. Talked with CPP and they had some recommendations so propbably followup with that.
This is the valve that’s on my 63 Unibody.
