Looking at disc brakes conversion kits, they say that the grease inserts may need to be moved. Those who have put disc brakes on the front of their trucks, what did you do?
I used a kit from{ master power brake in Cal.} and their directions said the same thing but i was able to use a die grinder on the mounting brackets,to give enough clearance for 90 degree fittings.It is a little hard to line up the grease gun but it does work.
I also removed some metal from the caliper mounting brackets (it didn't take much). It allowed enough clearance to install a 90 on one side, and a 45 on the other. My kit was from ECI. I agree with DR Smith, it's a liitle hard to get the grease gun on, but it definately can be done.

It seems some spindles are different than others. I put a ECI kit on my 49 and did not have a problem at all. I had another set of spindles that I compared with the ones on the truck. The spare set would have required drilling new holes for the grease fittings. For once I was lucky.
