Strange engine issue

I have a 2002 f250 with the 7.3. Yesterday I went to start it (with a boat on the back and after pressure washing the boat and truck), the lights all came on normal and i waited for the glow plug light to go out, as I always do, then I tried turning it over. Nothing happened. It was completely silent. There was no cranking, clicking, or anything of the sort. I tried it again and the same thing. The third try, it fired right up. I drove it home, shut it off, unloaded all my gear and then went to see if it would start again. It fired right up. I then did the same later this afternoon and it started up perfectly again. Is it possible this was just a fluke or do I need to go ahead and replace something? My biggest concern is getting stranded somewhere with a motor that wont do anything. I have noticed that every once in awhile my key is hard to turn in the ignition but it has been a little while since that was the case, so Im not sure if that has any bearing on the issue. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
