I'm new here and have a problem needing a solution. I have a 2001 F150 5.4 4X4 Supercrew 250K+ miles. My turn signals and hazards were intermittent for approx 2 weeks then they quit altogether. At that time I had to have a new lock mechanism put on driver door. since then my open door chime, key in ignition chime, dome light on when door open and headlight flash when door is locked and shut ALL don't work. My questions are: 1) are they related, 2) can they all be fixed with one fix, and about how much time and money will it take. I'm not a mechanic,but intend to fix all I can by myself. My fixed income won't allow for a shop fix. I would appreciate all the help you can give me. My mechanical skills involve guns not trucks. Thanks!

Sounds like multiple but separate problems

My turn signals and hazards were intermittent for approx 2 weeks then they quit altogether.
This is likely the signal relay or the multi-function switch. Replace the relay, if problem persists replace the switch.
open door chime, key in ignition chime, dome light on when door open and headlight flash when door is locked and shut ALL don't work.
This could be faulty door wiring


or a failing GEM. It is located behind the central fuse panel on the driver side under the dash.

It's because of the GEM module, I can run your wipers from my NGS scan tool.
Off on the wrong track IMO
Questions, 1,2 and 3. No, no and no
Do what Jon said first and check the wiring in the door boot
Plan on fixing yourself but say "I had to have a new lock mechanism put on the driver door"
I would start with double checking that latch and the door ajar switch (do that yourself)(WD 40 that latch switch)
Then check the multi-function switch for melted or pulled out wires (inspect both connectors)
Your 01 will have codes for some of that stuff, so check the codes if you can
Might be time to get Forscan
