DOOR CHIME will not go off

My chime goes off in my 95 ranger 4.0l as soon as i put my key in. Usually on hot days. Some people say it is a short, others in the door locking mechanism. Please help . Thanks

DOOR CHIME will not go off

I cant stand those stupid door chimes, so I just diconnect them as soon as I get a new truck.

DOOR CHIME will not go off

My chime stayed on continuosly. I changed out the ignition lock and the problem went away.

DOOR CHIME will not go off

Does your door ajar (if it has one)or dome light go out? If not, check the switch at the door post.
It may not be working or is out of adjustment.
