Tips on flooring?

I have Kilmat on the floor in my 72 f250. I took the tranny and t/c shifters out of the truck. I have the jute down on the floor and just laid the vinyl down in the cab. I am going to let it set til the weekend and help it fall into place. I would also like to cut some of extra off of it as it settles. I have an in-cab fuel tank, so I figure the flooring should stop at the small vertical in front of the tank. How far should the flooring go under the scuff plates(not sure if thats what they are really called off hand) under the door? Are those and the seats and the shifter boots all that pretty much secure the flooring? Will the vinyl shrink a little in the winter?

Take it outside and let the sunshine on it for a couple of hours. A hot hairdryer or a heat gun helps with some of the wrinkles. The wrinkles by the gas pedal never did come out of mine.

Go slow. cut a little at a time. Leave as much as possible at door sill. I would run mat under tank. Yes the seat and the other things are all that secure.

You can wait to trim door sill until seat is in to hold it in final position.

good luck

The flooring is definitely heating up. It is in the truck but the truck is outside. It hasnt been too hot yet this year but its coming. I dont have a bench seat yet for the truck but I will probably just put the bucket seats that I have from a parts truck in it for now. Thx for the tips
