So, in the bed, at the rear, I have two LED lights with a small switch next to the one of the driver side. Are those, in ANY way, tied to the cab or engine compartment? I have added a row of LED lights down both sides of the bed (tired of hooking up my fifth wheel in the dark). What I would like to see is if those lights will come on when I either open the door or turn on the interior / exterior lights. If not, I will just run a wire from the bed to one of the more accessible lights that do come on when the door is opened.

Thanks for the help, again.

your box lights should turn on when you hit the CHMSL switch on the left side of the dash.
the button looks like a jellyfish launcher,
also if you have sync 4, it would be in zone lighting as well (rear)
I dont think you want to tie it in to make the box lights come on every time you open the door. I would bet you don't hitch up more than once every 2 weeks if more than a handful of times per season. You want to have all the lights inside the bed come on every time you open the door just so your 5th wheel hitch can be lit up for the couple of times per year you hitch up.
You have to drop the tailgate to hitch up and the switch to turn the lights on IS RIGHT THERE when you open the tailgate. Push it when you open the tailgate. Problem solved.

Well, that IS a good point. You're right, the switch is right there. I was just thinking that it MIGHT be nice to have it turn on. But, perhaps I did not think through the whole process. I appreciate the response!
