I wanted a means to disable my truck from being able to be started and decided on Ravelco. It’s pricier than you trying to hook up a switch somewhere, but there is NO WAY my truck can be driven away without the plug installed. If they want to steal it, they will have to tow it.
But the current generation trucks actually have a fuel pump module (no more inertia switch). You can break the circuit to the fuel pump module, but I suspect that may set a code. I plan on adding a DPDT switch to the wires going from the fuel pump module to the fuel pump (breaking the positive and negative). This switch has 3 positions with center being off, one direction on, and I will add another positive and negative to the third position. The reason I am doing it this way is that the third position will allow the fuel pump to be ran manually. Three benefits to this are, fuel pump can be ran without a module if it fails, and you can use it to prime the system after a filter change (Omni-important on CP4s), and thirdly, it will give you an easy way to pump your tank out if the need arises. I’m working on on selecting a “secret” spot to put the switch right now. The module is locating on top of a frame crossmember just in front of the rear axle.

So, just out of curiosity, with the PATS system (passive anti-theft system) that all these trucks have, how would someone be able to steal your truck anyway (other than tow it away)?
I put a kill switch on my 2019 tapped into the ignition fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Works great…if nothing else it will slow down a thief.
My understanding if you tap into the fuel pump your truck will still start and run for a short amount of time, perhaps make it down the street, I wanted to keep it from starting, period.
I would hope the current alarm system would work but then again thieves seem to figure out ways to get past “stock” alarm systems. Figured this is one more step they would have to deal with.
My 2006 was stolen twice, in 9-months, from my driveway a few years ago. Stupid me never put a kill switch on it. The 2nd time it was stolen it was thrashed beyond belief once found. It’s amazing how these meth heads, I assume, just destroy something for the hell of it.
I bought the 2019 for the better alarm system but again wanted something in addition just to be sure.

With the use of more electronics, the criminal side also has the electronics to steal superdutys even quicker. Some use scanners, some replace control modules, all depends on what year model it is. It's a very quick method too. The more roadblocks we can put up for these thieves, our chances increase of not having our vehicle stolen. Ravelco is an excellent product.

I'm not sure, but you might be able to manually override the shift interlock even without the key fob. Pretty easy to access.

I paid insurance money so I don't have to worry as much. If I still have to worry, I might as well keep the money and get liability insurance only.

I think the bigger inconvenience would be to get police reports, fight with insurance at every step, then find a replacement truck…or have Ford build you one in 6-mos to a year down the road. Could cost tens of thousands out of pocket between what insurance gives you and what a replacement truck is. Then, you have no truck for that entire time either.
I dunno, I think I’d rather flip a switch under the dash when parked away from home than deal with all that.
I have been interested in purchasing one of ARod’s kill switches. How does it install to the truck & how does it operate?

Use a flipper to clone the signal from your key fob. Then drive away with your push button start truck. Keys with an FCC RFID fob are a little bit more time consuming to defeat. These trucks are easy to open too.
Make crooks work harder and lock your truck with the manual lock or lock button on the inside door. Hopefully no code gets transmitted to clone with a flipper if your remote is out of the vehicle and you don't use it.
The FORDPASS app doesn't transmit either. Use it. I hear there are signal blocking bags for keyless "keys" available.
