Hey guys. I ran into a little blown line this week on my 1994 F250. 460.
I know not much about brake lines, like at all other than how to connect them and bleed the system.
The line I blew is the line that comes out of the master cylinder, and spiral in a couple circles, and then goes down to driver side wheel. I blew that one right in the middle.
1. What is that line even called? Why cant I find anything online, or even on rock auto
2. where do I get something like this?
any help would be great would like to be up and running again soon. I attached a drawn on picture of the line I blew.
No idea the part number, but I'd suggest your local U-pull-it yard for a replacement. Flush it with some brake cleaner spray. Blow it dry. Install. Bleed the air. Should be good at that point.
+1 for seschenburg's suggestion
It is touch and go double flaring brake lines these days IMO
The new brake line made in China likes to split along the seam when flaring
I would go the junkyard route too

When I replaced the brake lines, hard and soft, on my old 1992 F350 I made my own "spiral" line. I used a stock piece of straight brake line that had the correct ends then wrapped the line around a full beer can to make the loops. Once I was done...I drank the beer.
No way I would put a used brake line on my truck. I would either buy a complete brake line kit and replace them all or bend and flare tubing to replace the one line.
Yea, I’m buying a new one. I didn’t feel like going back and forth so I just agreed. I found the part #s on lmc for a full front kit. Turns out they are just pre bent now, they don’t have the spiral. But that’s fine, as long as it holds pressure.
Sounds like you already got the parts you need but FWIW Inline Tube has the entire hard line kit. Used to be $150, not sure what it is now. I bought the kit and used what I need, and set the rest away for later. Seemed to be fairly good quality and they're still holding up.
