You are possibly reading the numbers wrong – they can be pretty hard to decipher sometimes. Generally, C would be followed by a number, such as C5 or C9. These would mean 1965 and 1969.
You might be looking at C9VE-A for instance, which according to this website is a 1969 429/460 block. I would look again at your numbers and look at this website and see if anything lines-up.

If it is a 4-bolt main block, it’s a keeper. If it’s a 2-bolt, then I don’t if the block is particularly special to a CobraJet. However I believe there may be nuances to different castings that more knowledgeable folks here can chime in on. I’d post some pictures of the casting numbers and top and bottom side of the block.

You have this in both this forum for 385 series engines and the FE forum. So first I would make sure it's one or the other:
FE block

Both here, FE first, 385 about 1/3 down the page.

A usable FE block, especially one with the bigger bore of the 428, is worth more than the scrap price. Key word: usable.
A 4 bolt 385 block is worth a lot more than scrap price. A 2 bolt is again, probably worth more than scrap,

The better FE blocks like the CJ? had 4 motor mount bolts
The 427s had the 4 bolts
Junk 360-390s did not have the 4 bolts
Head to intake parting line is under the valve cover on the FE motors
