Google Leonard on Dually-Fans.com

But to the OP, up to you on keeping the ESOF system. Not a whole lot of work to bring it up to snuff. I decided to skip that and install Mile Markers manual hubs just to keep the system as simple as possible. And there have been days I wanted ESOF. If your Mile Markers rattle after install like mine did an extra set of spiralocs will hold them solid.

Since you have the T4 you have the goods to take advantage of bigger injectors. Of course the question hinges on your plans for the truck, budget, and condition of current injectors.

Man, it is really crazy how life changes in a blink of an eye. None of the work Mentioned above has gotten done.

Side note/ Life update: We purchased the home mentioned above. Lived one winter on Propane and a pellet stove. $3,800.00 later on heating our small 1.5 story home we decided to look into other options. Well it ended up being at the end of the second winter before we had enough money set aside. Of course that meant taking from the truck funds. I am very fortunate to have 3 to 4 vehicles at a time and other heavy duty trucks at my disposal so it was ok to have it sit. Well to keep it short, we decided we were sick of the propane prices, and having to purchase and store wood pellets. On top of that trying to save monthly bills our holding tanks (septic) started to leak. **Fun fact, the county I live in requires testing for septic systems and of course the one that I need is the most expensive one. So had to clear 12, 80' pine trees down to the allow the plumbers to install the mound system where it perked.** So after installing an outdoor wood burner and mound system I am finally ready to start working on ol' faithful. Of course the outdoor burner heats my shop and man is it nice turning the dial and working in heat.

Fast forward to the middle of November of '23, I decided out of the blue I was going to pull the motor. So that has been done and only broke 2 things, which I didn't think was bad for being in the rust belt. Trans cooler coupling broke and one of the bolts that hold the core support. Just when I think I am going to make progress, I get shipped out of the country for work. Come home to find out my wife is pregnant with our first! Little baby girl Bernadine Rose. Man, what a life change that is. So blessed.

Fast forward to May of 24, Sitting in Vegas for a month for work and I have time to catch up on FTE!!!!

When I return home June 8th, It is going to be full bore work on the 7.3,

I still have plans to repair the following:
  1. Oil cooler
  2. Oil pan
  3. ESOF repair
  4. Ball joints
  5. Wheel bearings
  6. Tie rod ends
  7. Shocks
  8. Sway bar rebush
  9. Repaint engine as much as I can
  10. Clean engine bay as much as I can and repaint
  11. Flex plate
  12. New tunes
  13. AIH relay delete (general wiring cleanup)
  14. Still debating on Valvebody
  15. Still on the fence with injectors.
Sorry for the long post, it is good to be back into somewhat of a routine and reading up on FTE. I will do my best to take as many pictures as possible.

Take time to enjoy some of the restaurants that are not available most other places other than New York, LA, etc... See some shows that you may have an interest in like Cirque Du Soleil, concerts, etc...

  • Hit up Tacos Al Gordo for good cheap Mexican eats. Hit up Juan's Flaming Fajitas for good pricier Mexican Eats.
  • Wander around Spring Mountain Rd (Chinatown) for a ridiculous selection of restaurants. Sushi Neko Supremo is awesome for AYCE sushi. New Asian BBQ is great for dim sum. Pho Kim Long is good for Vietnamese food. Halal Guys is great for middle eastern flavors.
  • Drive through Red Rock Canyon. If time permits, hike a few of the trails. Calico Tanks is one of my favorites.
  • Hit up any of the Station Casinos properties' oyster bars and get the Pan Roast. The famous one is Palace Station but all of them have the same thing. Go to Palace Station if you want the full wait-in-line-for-two-plus-hours-in-a-smoky-casino experience.
  • Just walk up and down the strip at night to see the lights. You will be propositioned at least once.

Very fortunate to have the customer I am working with bring me to Sushi Neko II, A korean BBQ that I dont recal the name and then they took me to ceasars palace for the Bacchanal Buffet. All were amazing.

Thanks for the suggestions! It will help keep me off of marketplace looking for old classic cars/trucks I can drive home.

Back to the main thread,
I am sitting here getting all my parts in my shopping cart. Most of which is through Riffraff Diesel, as Clay has been nothing short of phenomenal.
But before I place the order short of googling every piece individually, is there any other shop you guys recommend?

Rockauto usually has good prices on Motorcraft parts, but since their shipping has gone to crap it tends to counter balance any cost difference. Riff Raff is usually within a couple dollars with faster shipping and customer service.

I have quit using Rock Auto, simply because their Shipping costs have Escalated beyond what is reasonable, compared to all other Vendors.

That, and you have NO idea of who is sending that part to you, you can't track it from a Rock Auto warehouse, it is sent off to a supplier where they order it for you, AFTER you order it from Rock Auto....

2 to 3 weeks is typical from Rock Auto.
RiffRaff is 5 to 7 days

the hate mongers won't agree with me, but I buy everything I can from Amazon, and have never been disappointed.... I do a lot of research on the Vendor listed....
if it isn't right, it goes back to Amazon at no cost to me.

The rabbit hole is getting deeper and deeper.

Has anyone welded their own piston cooling jets? Just wondering if it is worth it or just by new.

Yes, if you can TIG weld and build a jig to hold them it isn't too hard. Is it worth the time it takes to do one set? Hard to say when they are inexpensive to purchase and just bolt on.
