Home Screen on truck, how do you save the screen you want? I leave mine on off road, but every time I get in the truck it makes me re- select it. Can you put the def gauge in place of one of the gauges? My 19 was fully customizable and set how I wanted. I'm sure this is too just can't get it lol. Thanks guys
This is my first Super Duty. I've got about 700 miles on a 2023 XLT CCSB with the 7.3/3.73. An initial cold start has the engine running around 1400 rpm or so. Within around 1 minute, the rpm drops to around 900 rpm or so. It takes several minutes to reach a true hot idle, which seems to be around 500 rpm or so.
My question is this - until the engine reaches the hot idle, the vehicle really doesn't want to be stopped and you really have to be firm on the brake to not creep. Is this typical for a HD Truck?
Also headlights default to auto, can't seem to get rid of that either
On 22 and earlier, that is in the headlight switch, you just don't turn the switch all the way to the right, which is the auto position.
One click back from all the way to the right is the standard headlight on position.

On 2023, the rotary switch to change lights mode isn’t hard connected to any physical connection, meaning, you rotate clockwise to change to ON from AUTO, but once it gets to ON, you can keep clicking it around clockwise forever, nothing changes…..then just one click back the other way, and it’s back to auto.
When you turn off and back on, it defaults to auto, regardless of where **** was left.

I am assuming that you are referring to the digital dash behind the steering wheel. I've read online elsewhere, and had it confirmed by my dealer, that the seatbelt minder overrides all. The best you can do, is to remove unwanted screens from the top menu option to limit what you have to scroll through. I tried to limit it to just the screen I wanted, but it forces you to keep 2 screen options, and it keeps the screen the describes how to remove/add screens. So the best you can do, is limit to 3 options.
Every now and then, I can hit the back button after turning on the truck, and it goes to the screen that I left it on. That is rare. About 10% of the time, and only if I haven't put the truck into gear yet. Normally it just goes to the menu screen. I agree it is a PITA - and I find it extremely irritating. The seatbelt minder should pop up and then go away when you put the truck into gear, unless it senses a person without a seatbelt on.
I have tried to figure out the same things as OP. Yes it’s just a couple clicks, but still annoying to do it everytime.
Now if we could just turn off auto high beam on the 23s...
Not sure if there was a change between 22 and 23 model years. But in my 2022 you can get into the menu in the instrument cluster to turn off auto high beam. It was dark out when I drove my new 2022 about 60 miles home from the dealer in December 2021. First thing I did when I got home was to deactivate auto high beams.

I have searched through both menus, cluster and entertainment and there is no setting to change.
I figured it out on accident last night though. As I was turning on high beams, I drove over a good size bump. That caused me to “double tap” the high beam switch and the little auto symbol next to the high beam disappeared from the dash. Auto high beam is now off! The most annoying part was that the high beams would “fade” to full power instead of just turning on like normal.

This is good to know. I did it by accident, but couldn't figure out how I did it, so I couldn't replicate it!
