Ok guys I have a weird one, about a year and a half ago I was backing a trailer up and slid down in a ditch. Got out of the truck assessed and decided ehh! It’s a 4x4 drive truck why not let her eat and prove she’s a beast. Lock the hubs put her in neutral and flipped the selector to 4L and this is where the fun begins. The truck spuddered, shuddered and died!!! I realized this is probably going to be bad instantly, truck cranked fired up for about 3 seconds and shut down. After typical troubleshooting I arrived at the ECM. Replaced the ECM got the pats system reset by a friend with a computer and we are back in the fast lane. Fast forward to this week pulling out a stump thinking nothing of slapping it in 4x4 and kapow trucks dead again same damn symptoms as the first time! So if anyone out there has seen, heard or has fixed this issue please give me and idea of why this truck enjoys murdering $600 parts like I got money to light on fire!!
thanks ya”ll
Justin

Reason: Add pics and codes
You have a shirt somewhere in the 4wd system that is interrupting the vref circuit. When this happens, you'll lose the fuel pump and the engine will die because the pcm loses vref.
Also, Check your ICP wiring and make sure it is run above the injector plugs and not below. When you remove the FICM you'll see what I'm talking about.
Also, replace the GPCM. You have the code for a bad one. A bad GPCM can drop the PCM 12V power supply (through fuse 22) enough to shut it down. This is how a fan clutch wiring short can also cause an engine shutdown, so you might as well inspect it also. Probably too late to help the OP, but it would be a nice surprise to get a conclusion posted!
