My heater just all of a sudden blew a fuse and continues to make a spark behind the speed lever. Does it mean my blower is bad? The switch might need to be replaced? Any help would be appreciated.
mine did the same thing not too long ago. yea the blower motor switch (speed switch) is most likely fried and also check the relay. its about 1"x1" and its silver with 3 prongs commin off it. its right under the glove box. im guessin ur truck is mid to late 70's model. that is most likely fried too. itll run u about $20-$30 to fix it and not too much time. hope that helps.
Also make sure that the blower hot lead is not pinched between the dash and any metal supports like my friend's was. Have you done anything under the dash later like a a new stereo or glove box repair, or duct work? If so check the path of the blower red or orange power lead for pinch points.

I had the same problem, But I had just replaced the altenator light and was messing around behind the dash when it quit working.
I figured it was just wires touching so I moved the wires and it started working again and hasn't messed up since...
Hope maybe this helps. It also takes 35amp fuses(just in case the lettering was rubbed off the fuse box.
