Okay after posting in the wrong forum twice, maybe 3rd time is the charm?
I have a an original 56 F-100 script flatbed stake bed. I have been searching for production numbers on this truck and haven't had any success. I've found #'s for 3/4 ton's ect, but not 1/2 ton.
I'm hoping some of the historian folks on here maybe able to steer me in the right direction for a resource for these numbers, or may have documentation in archives some place.
She is a very clean truck family owned since its beginning.
Anyway thanks in advance for any advice, I know this place is a wealth of knowledge.
Again sorry for posting in the wrong locations before.
Yeah 85e thanks for the link, I know they did come from the factory with the short bed, as this one did, and was purchased new by my brother in-laws, brother. Thankfully it lived a very pampered life. My brother in-law also had one he bought from the dealership, but its life wasn't so lucky.
Just be cool to know how many they made...
Ford sold F100 script flatbeds. There weren't many, but they were made. Later tonight I'll post a page from the Ford Dealer handbook showing the specs of a F100 flatbed.
And, "bullet" welcome to FTE the best Ford truck forum on the World wide Web!
here is the dealer handbook specs for the 54 F-100 flatbed. I have seen only one F100 flatbed and that was a 53 in a junkyard. I doubt if there are any records on how many F100 flatbeds were factory made.
Thank you, probably un PO it, go through all systems, I need to get the 312 running better its got a miss. Shouldn't take much on that end. Make sure she stops like it should, and cute it up a bit like a lowered farmers market truck in the end. Lots of ideas running through my head at this time.
When a vehicle is close to 70 years old it is hard to tell what has happened to them over the years. In this case, having it in the same family helps, but how many people have complete records for 70 years?
Lol yes they all have a 312 in them correct? in this case it is a button flanged crank from I believe a 57 or 58 Bird. The PO was very proud of that. I'm going to have to sit down and talk with him some more about it, but he's in assisted living right now and has been for some time.
Sure appreciate all the response.
