I'm looking at running an efi system on my 95 4.9l engine. What I have is a Clifford single 4bbl intake with the 4bbl adapter, and efi exhaust manifolds. The Holley efi sniper kit # 550-510 is what I was thinking. I see a lot of talk about the sniper 2300 2bbl, but Clifford doesn't make an adapter for their intakes. Is the 550-510 too much? (to big, overkill, ect) The engine is going in my 67 f100 2wd manual trans. Mild build RV style cam. Thanks guys Joe.

After doing a little more research I think that unit would be to big. It's rated up to 800 cfm, and says the HP range is between 200 to 650. I think I'm go ahead and machine an adapter to fit the Holley EFI 2300.
I am sure there is an adapter made to go from the v4 intake to the 2300 bolt pattern so no need to make one.
Unless you want to and have the tooling to do so.

I have the 4bl adapter for my Clifford intake. I’m sure I can then get a 2bl adapter to sit on top of the 4bl adapter. Then I have an adapter sitting on an adapter I think it going to look goofy. I’m thinking I can make a single adapter out of some 1/2” or 3/4” plate aluminum. It’ll be a fun little project. Until then I’m thinking of running a 450 Holley or Quick Fuel carb.
The issue you're going to run into with the 4bbl Sniper is that it's a very big throttle body.
It'll run, it'll supply fuel properly, it'll tune to your engine, etc. but where it's going to be difficult is that it's going to take very little throttle (gas pedal) movement to supply a lot of air to the engine. It's not like a typical primary/secondary 4bbl since all four barrels open at once.
So, basically, it'll work, but it isn't going to be as fun to drive.
The 2bbl version is just sized better in that it's half the size of the 4bbl. It's good up to 350hp, so it's plenty. It gives you more range in your gas pedal and will be easier to drive.
