2001 f350
Went out for a drive yesterday to do some jobs i covered about 85 miles then stopped for a brew, when I returned to the truck it wouldn’t start, it cracked over and spluttered a bit after a few goes I just waited for about 30min and it started, drove around 4mile turned it off and it wouldn’t start again ..
any help would be great ..

If it does it again, try unplugging the icp to see if it fires. If so, you have your answer. Inspect the pigtail for oil also. Could be telling of a bad icp.
Ipr is also a common no start when hot. Pouring cold water on the solenoid to get it to start would allude to such.
A way to monitor live data would also help with diff dx.

you don’t even know what engine the truck has
is it throwing any codes?
