I ended up making a custom bracket to carry a 6x8 speaker in the original location under the dash. I have wired the truck for speakers in the cab corners that I have built yet. I cant find a pic of the bracket I made and it is for my 72 f250. My 70 f250 had speakers down in the bottom of the doors along with the under dash speaker.
I never uploaded those pics. I used some left over floor pan material and cut a rough dimension and put some bends in it. Did some more trimming til it fit and then bent over the edges to stiffen it up.
Thats what I ended up with. I had to do that because I am not using the original radio and 4 ohm speakers.
I cut two 6" speakers into my dash. IU moved my gas tank out of the cab so I had room for two 6x9 speakers in corners behind the seat. 6" speakers cut into dash. Relocated gas tank so there is room for two corner speakers, amp and subwoofer.
I built a center console with two 6-1/2" mids and put 6 x 9's in the rear cab corners like what CreigN did. I just tucked them a little farther back into the pockets.
