Any experience with "Solar Generators" ?
Was wondering if anyone had experience with so called "Solar Generators" as I know what they are (and what they are not) but not familiar enough with brands and options to run out and buy one with any confidence. I don't want to install panels on my 5th Wheel as I'm looking to use them for power outages and ham radio applications as well.
You don't need a solar generator to charge your fifth wheel. I put together what I call a Board Build that I use for tent camping. There's no reason you couldn't do something similar to charge your fifth wheel and a freezer at home. Below is a link to my write-up. It's nothing innovative and it's not real pretty either. The guys that fit it all in a suitcase do a great job, some even have LiFePO4 batteries in the suitcase. My inverter is undersized for powering a freezer. It wasn't what I had intended it for, but I did check to see if it would work and it didn't. I would need an inverter that handles about 700 watts.
