I have a 2013 F150 4x4 w/ offroad and trailering packages, and I tow with it. It has 130k miles on the clock now, and I need to replace the suspension. I currently run some Otani all-season tires, but I am planning to swap out for BFG KO2s soon.
I'm thinking Monroe heavy duty shocks & struts (Monroe HD on all 4 corners) would be a good replacement here. Thoughts?
Do you still have the original factory shocks on still, if so, and you got 130k out of them, and have be satisfied with the ride, why not go back with the same OEM motorcraft
To be honest, I don't know what's on here -- I bought it about 13k miles ago. The ride has always been too bouncy, and I always assumed it was because the shocks were worn out. OEM shocks are probably fine.
Another thing I'm wanting to fix here is that the Otani all season tires I got (not my choice) slip all the time now. I'm thinking I need to replace the suspension and tires, and the tires will be replaced with BFG KO2s, but first I'm doing the suspension. The tires should be okay (they're only a year old), but now they slip practically every day, without any prodding. It's getting dangerous.
My rear shocks, well the left rear, blew it's seal and started leaking when my truck had just over 3k miles on it. Could have had it replaced under warrranty but figured it was a waste of time, have almost 30k miles on the truck now on the Monroes with no issues at all.
