Replacement shocks

I'm about to replace the shocks on my 99 F-250 Super Duty. It's 2wd and has the towing package. Has anyone replaced their shocks with Bilstien's or Edelbrock's new IAS shocks? I'm wondering if they are woth their extra cost?

I've got Bilsteins on my 96 F-150 2WD. They ride a little harder than stock, but give MUCH better control. The Twin I Beams don't wander about nearly as much and I now handle a load or a trailer much better. No regrets at all about buying them. They weren't very expensive either. Check out www.shox.com for pricing

Take a look at Rancho's RS9000 "5-speed" shocks. They can be adjusted from pretty "mooshy" to stiff, very easily, to accomodate whatever use you have going at the time. Most RV'ers that I keep in touch with are using them to pack big slide-in campers and towing 5'ers.

Replacement shocks

For what it's worth, I put the IAS's on my little ranger(2wd), made a world of difference. Now I look for railroad crossings! But really, I had top of the line gas-charged gabrials(10,000 miles) on it and the diff is like night and day as far as ride quality and handling. Run the 9000's on a 150, great if you run loaded often, really great if you have the in-cab set-up, really not so great if every time you want to adjust, you have to go under the truck and adjust them on the shock body.
