The LED tail lights should be deleted from the window sticker and the price should reflect that. They tried but couldn't produce the product so you should not have to pay for it. end of story, no law suite just no LED's

Some companies are responsive to BBB complaints. I would probably try that route. The order guide is what orders are based on in many cases, and it said in multiple locations, LED taillamps as standard. The website on the other hand, is often full of inconsistencies, missing info, false info, and not used by all to actually build an order. Until that screen shot above was posted, I had never even looked at that comparison page.

I haven't seen anywhere that Ford has stated anything about this being a commodity restraint, so quite possible that they never intended to include LED taillamps, and it was an error on their part for including it in the order guide(s).

Would you prefer they not ship the truck for two months while they wait for your precious LED tail lights? That is just crazy in my book... Good Luck
some folks you can't please. They want to bitch to bitch. If ford would waited he would complain. Its just stupid tail lights. He should be glad the truck works correctly. Or just "punish" ford amd go trade it on a RAM! Next he will spend 5-10k in court!

And what is the itemized price of LED tail lights?

Seriously, I couldn't give a crap about LED lights, front or rear. My regular headlights have always been plenty.

I'm also filing a complaint with states attorney General and BBB. Just wondering if anyone else is doing the same or just accepting the fact we were lied to ? Nothing will probably happen, but I'll get to vent.
Were you held at gunpoint, and forced to sign the paperwork? Seriously, you saw the truck, realized the lights weren't what you expected, and still signed for the truck. I see no fault on Ford's part here for having a supply issue.

Now, if a guy bought a HO 6.7 diesel, with all the proper markings and badges, and later found out it was not an HO but rather a standard 6.7,....then I think that guy would have a case.

Still, opening a case with Ford might get you the LED lights at a later date, can't hurt to try. Good luck in your pursuit.

I’d rather have halogen than LED any day. Led light is obnoxious looking.

I suspect that there was never any intention of putting led taillights on Lariats. The product group specified led reverse lights and the documentation people read it as led taillights. Happens all the time. No malicious intent on Fords part. Yeah, it sucks to pay as much as we are and get halogens, but that’s what we have.

Even for Ford, that theory would indicate an incredible level of incompetence and total lack of proof reading and accountability within a major organization responsible for billions of dollars of product.......

Wait........

Well....now that I say it like that......you're probably right!!

The company I work for builds and sells computer systems that go anywhere from $50K up to over $1M. Documentation is wrong. A lot. It's the last thing done and the people that really know about the product have moved on to the next thing by the time it's out. It doesn't get near the proofreading that it should. Something like this doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm not going to fret about the LED tails too much as long as I get the LED headlights I specifically ordered. However, didn't last year's Lariats have LED tails? If Ford meant to roll back to halogens all along, then it IS a colossal level of incompetence because EVERY piece of literature published about the 2023 Lariat specified LED tails. EVERY SINGLE DOCUMENT. Even their website and online build-to-price app specified LED tails.

In the end, I'm not going to worry over the tails, but I also wouldn't mind if a dealer replaced my halogens with LEDs when available under a Customer Satisfaction Campaign. It's really the only way Ford can make this right.

However, I can just about guarantee some customer will be filing a class-action lawsuit over this debacle. Lots of folks have sued for less. Ford's probably already getting ready for it.

The Ford site clearly states "Tail lights, Halogen with LED reverse" for KR, and "LED tail and reverse" for Limited and Platinum. I would guess that supply constraints have changed that. I would not lose sleep over it. I would think if you read fine print somewhere there would be a disclaimer to the fact substitutions might be made.

Wait, I just re-read the OP's post. Lariats were NOT supposed to get LED tails. Did you get LED reverse? If so you got what you ordered. MY '22 Lariat has Halogen tails.....

And this is how we as consumers don't win against big companies.

All this bluster and from what I just read,on Fords website, comparing a Lariat, KR and Plat, LED tail lights only come on Platinums and Limiteds.

That's pretty funny... the OP should definitely sue
