Engine swap
I have a 2002 F150 Super crew cab 4x4 with a 5.4l 2 valve engine and automatic transmission. I am debating on putting a 2006 5.4l 3 valve engine in it. What do I need to change for this to work smoothly? The 2006 engine had a manual transmission. I will be getting the PCM and wiring harness with the engine. Do I need to also get a TCM?

You’d definitely need the pedals from the ‘06.
The 3V uses drive by wire throttle. Your ‘01 uses old school cable throttle.
I’m not seeing the wisdom of a 3V engine swap, though.
Go try out a DOHC 5.4 from a Navigator. You get your 300 horsies and none of that cam phaser and timing chain tensioner seal blow out junk.
Just my thought.
