ICP removal

I would like to change out my original ICP sensor with 302K miles and my question is how do I remove the original sensor when it is perfectly round. There are no sided on the sensor that would allow extraction with a wrench or socket. I'm not having any issue with the sensor but I'm planning a cross country trip in June and just figured it might be wise to change out the sensor before the trip. Any ideas on how to remove the round ICP sensor.? Thanks.

Take a closer look. OEM sensor left and modern design sensor right.

I recommend to buy new Motorcraft ICP from reputable seller and keep the old working sensor in the glovebox.

I had 500k in my OEM sensor when i replaced it after injector swap.It was working, had to change it during chasing Idle issues.

Use one of these under the round top part.
