I have a 2017 6.2 f350 DRW
. Removed the position sensor with ease. Though it was in a tight spot it was relatively easy. Got the new one and it is the exact same. Went to put it in and I can only get a quarter turn on it and then it's rock solid. No wrenches used all fi get to get it back. Pushed the sensor to the side and ran the bolt in with finger tips like butter. Tried to put it in with sensor again and rock sold after a quarter turn once again. Pulled it all back out. Double checked everything and everything looks good. No cross threads (obviously since I can run it in by finger tips all the way pre sensor) old and new sensor identical. Spent a long time on it and not sure what the cause can be. Anyone else run into this? Sensor is top left rear.
So the bolt is binding up in the sensor? Sounds like Either the bolt hole in the sensor is too small, or it was molded out of alignment with the hole in the block.
