Plenums can and do leak with age also. BTDT. Dump the OBOD quick.
I would check fuel pressure under load and gut the cat. Stock muffler is not a restriction at modest power levels. Consider efuel on the truck not only for more power but superior filtration.
Exhaust manifolds can leak (driver rear) and 220k you probably have leaking uppipes to an extent.

Fuel pressure at idle is 60-75.
Driving at WOT it fluctuates from 14-75.
Getting stuff now to check boost leak.
Didn't see much of anything in that port, stuck a pick in there and didn't get anything out..
14 to 75
i hope the average is more like 40 or that could mean pump or its supply could be impeded
Found a leak, the hose going to the MAP sensor was completely split, not sure how much that would effect anything?
I pressurized the exhaust also and didn't see any leaks from up pipes.
Truck appears to be fine.
Hooked back up to the trailer and attempted the route again, it definitely felt better, but I think my expectations were just higher than reality.. this is my first diesel, so my only towing experience is with my 95 with 460.
It's super windy today and had a head wind about 30mph and I was able to get to 65 with some better shift timing and getting the RPMs higher.
Fuel pressure was fairly stable on the pull, if I had to guess the average was 40s-50s.
I'll try again once this storm blows through and give it a real go.
Where are you getting your boost numbers from? It seems like if the MAP sensor line was cracked it would be impossible to pull 20lbs of boost. Unless its hooked up somewhere else.

I have it TEED into that line, I was thinking the same the same thing, but I've hit 20lbs.. It takes a long on ramp to get there, but it will eventually get there.. and even then, it just kisses 20lb
It's usually 2-3 cruising, and gets up to 10ish unloaded just cruising up hills.
The split was about a few inches before my T point.
Maybe not big enough to cause issues unless prolonged boost?
Remove the kitty, I had a 6.0 cat that I installed a few years back and it was clogging and truck felt sluggish along with high EGT's, no crunk juice on WOT. Took it off problem solved had it so long that I had forgotten how fun my truck was empty and towing.
Check HPOP duty cycle, IPR I think it is under. My old, beat pump did about 550psi hot idle at 15% or something. New Adrenaline is around 8-9%.
Maintaining rail pressure gives you power via fuel atomization.
I check uppipes on cold start. Hood open and no glow time. That way smokes pretty good. They leak at turbo collector. Check quick so will not burn yourself.
