Battery cables

Hey guys, we all know how important good battery cables are for our trucks, especially those of you still running 6 volt, and how hard it can be to find the right size, length, ends, etc. I recently was in the market and found a place online that does custom cables, and does an excellent job at that. I have a new project I'm working on, (we all need another hole in our heads, right?) an 8N tractor (full thread forthcoming), and was dreading driving all over town trying to find just the right parts. These guys at batterycablesusa.com made it easy.

Drop down menus allow you to choose the gauge, color, length, choose from a large assortment of ends, the deal couldn't have been simpler. The ends are professionally crimped and sealed with shrink tubing. The price was reasonable and standard delivery was just a few days from ordering. The cables are automotive grade 100% copper sourced in the USA, made and shipped from Kentucky. I got 3 cables, 2 battery and one starter, 16" positive and 24" each negative and starter in 2ga. which is all I needed for my 12v tractor. The 3 full custom cables ran me $44 delivered, which was less than they wanted for the offshore 4ga you get at the store, if you're lucky. Keep them in mind next time you have a need. I'm plenty happy. And no, this was not a paid endorsement.

They look nice, Wayne. But the ends don't look like copper.

Yes, from the description;

The copper lugs (ring terminals) as well as the copper top post positive and negative battery terminals feature a tin plating which is resistant to corrosion and is superior to bare copper terminals.

I had mine made by them as well a few years back. EXCELLENT quality, not expensive (for what you are getting), and really quick turnaround time, too. Glad to see you went with them, too!
