All I found on eBay is complete rebuilt units, or the same one I have now for 4.56 and up. I confirmed with support that I can move the innards, so I bought the empty carrier.

I think I have settled on 3.73 gears, with 265/75R-17 tires, this should have the RPM at 2305 @ 60 MPH. So now I need a different open carrier for the front because of carrier break, looking into that.

Are these gear sets correct for my '75 4x4 F250? I now have the correct carriers for 3.73 gearing. Any suggestions on alternative vendors?

According to their vehicle fit guide they should be right. I'd look at Rockauto, it looks like they have the same parts but a little cheaper, but they're gonna charge shipping so Summit might be better overall

IDK if it would've mattered, but they also list a Richmond 4.10 thin gear that would've worked on the rear 4.56 carrier.

Thanks, I will do a bit more shopping. I am nervous about trusting their vehicle fit guide, it said the brakes pads I ordered for my other PU ('75 F250 2WD) would work, they don't. Ford was nice enough to make some changes mid-year in '75, so you really need the VIN to get the right disc brake parts.

The PN's seem to cross-reference between summit and rockauto so they're probably right. If you want to be 100% on what you need, you need to get the B.O.M number that's stamped in the axle tube, or on the tag on the cover, and look it up on Dana/Spicers website. You're not dealing with Ford parts, it's a Dana/Spicer built axle, so year to year changes by Ford won't matter. The ring/pinions are all the same for all the high pinion 60's, you can even fit the "super" 60 gears from the Super Duty axle with a little work, which are stronger gears.

Edit: Disregard, had an option for an open front carrier. Missed the later post that you got one.

I purchased a D60 Powr-Lok carrier from JustDifferentials (Niitro Gear). I was offered a 5% discount, and after applying for that my order went in, without the discount. Mistakes happen, so I tried calling them about it. Was transferred to someone to deal with it, while leaving a voicemail the call was ended. Emailed them, no response, days later called again. Was told my email had been forwarded to someone. Waited, emailed again. As of today there has been no response.
