Correct, it is the Dana Super 60 BUT the LubeLocker Dana 60 gasket does fit, contrary to what the LubeLocker site says.
Agreed. Lube Locker isn't doing themselves any favors. Everyone says that gasket fits the Dana Super 60 except Lube Locker. In fact, on the Lube Locker page for the gasket it explicitly says it doesn't fit the Super 60.
The Dana M275 has been out for six years. It seems odd that Lube Locker hasn't produced a gasket for it. The only reason I can think that they wouldn't is that you don't have to pop the differential cover to change the fluid on the M275.
I sent an inquiry to Lube Locker about the M275. The only email address I can find (it took some digging) is frontdesk@lubelocker.com.
From looking at too many images of diff covers for various Dana 60 and Super 60 it looks like they are very similar. I would gamble that the gasket is the same/interchangeable depending on what cover you have. The covers can be different depending on the normal rotation direction and front or rear, the fill plug height looks to change depending on application. I would also guess the depth of some covers may not allow for the larger ring gear (Hard to tell from picture and not knowing the typical clearance needed for proper lubrication if this is a factor or not). Also a possible factor is some stamped covers look to have a raised surface on the bolt flange, and that may be why LubeLocker states that its gasket is not compatible on the Super 60 equipped super duties.
There is also a lot of conflicting information (or not very clear information) on what axle is in what year, make, model, configuration, with what variation of the 60 or super 60. I'm not sure if there is any component that would fit all 60 or super 60 axles. Maybe a ring gear bolt? or carrier bearing cap bolts?
IIRC, all D60's, whether the standard D60 or the "super 60" have the same cast differential with the same bolt pattern on them. Any D60 gasket should fit any D60 or super-60.
I'm due for diff oil changes and if I could get a gasket for my M300 that would be awesome. However, since I can't and have to have a tube of Right Stuff open for it I might as well re-seal the front cover the same way too.
