If the fuel bowl heater is still hooked up then unhook it. Just unplug the connector from the bowl and tuck it somewhere out of the way. When the fail they take the PCM fuse with it.
Any hope of technical help requires more detailed description of what's going on if you want to get a precise description of what to do to get your truck running again.
Yes Battery Terminals are spotless Batteries are good or at least were 2 days ago..definitely a ground issue ...was too dark last night to check that stuff .... tried to put a charger on it ...nothing...will take a looks soon Thanks ffor replies
If the lights will not come on then you have a power issue somewhere. You mentioned the grounds, definitely a good place to start. Get a multi meter and start check for power disruption. Double check batteries to make sure they were not drained by something being left on
Issue resolved.....I have a Bad Battery terminal connector ..the passenger side where the 2 large Positives and the small red line connect ....One end was cracked...so I Repaired it for now but I need a new one for sure....Seems it was so loose that the Passenger Battery shorted to ground and was at 5.6 volts in the end. I recharged both and they seem OK...I have a set of good spares anyway but so far so good.
Can anybody recommend a Quality replacement Terminal Connector that is not too crazy to Install and is durable ? I am OK with soldering If need too and have all the tools for the Heavy Guage Stuff. Thanks in Advance
I solder a lug on the end of the wire and use the bolts to secure it. The two bolts give a good place for multiple connections. They have some different versions but I have found the brass one to work the best for me. I will snag a pic so you can see the setup
there many other multi-connection terminals on the market depending on your needs
If breakage/corrosion has gotten to the point where there is no power to the vehicle, you are better off replacing all the battery cables rather than repair the connector. Chances are good corrosion has worked its way into the cables as well. I speak from experience.
Yeah, if there was corrosion at the terminal, it will travel farther up the wire than there is excess to trim away. You'll have no guarantee of reliable service until you can be sure of good clean power supply.
