With the cab swap the speedometer stopped working so i thought it was just the cluster. Then i ran my scanner as i was driving and the speed wasn't rising it just stayed at 0. I have a new speed sensor in the rear. The truck has rear abs. I dont know where to look or what to test to find my problem.
Also it is a manual truck.
Is the sensor plugged in? Check the integrity of the wire at the connector? Check for voltage at the connector plug pigtail. Also….Make sure it’s all the way in. Sometimes it needs that little last push to snap in
Its all the way in the wires look to be in good shape and when should there be power running through the wire when the wheels are turning or is it hot all the time
If you did a cab swap I would start checking all the connections. Also look at the transmission if it’s a automatic it’s gonna have a few connectors also on top of the trans body. Make sure those are connected.
mare you using the cluster that worked on the original cab/truck or a new cluster that came with the new cab?
All the connections are good thats the first thing i checked. Its the new cluster but its not registering at the obd2 port so that tells be its from the firewall out
Check the wiring to the sensor. I would also check the big connector at the firewall maybe a pin got bent on install or debris go in there
If everything worked before it should work now. Something got cut not making contact or got disconnected on install
