Have a 2022 f350 cc srw with 3.73 rear end. Put 285/75/18 open country r/t trails at about 400 miles with 2” level. Noticed since the new tires (really noticed in last 500-700 miles now at about 1700 miles total on truck) I have a low oscillating sound that seems to come from the rear end. It is most noticeable at about 48-53 mph and is distinct from road noise of tires. I cannot duplicate the sound outside of overdrive gears (9/10) with 9th being the loudest. Seems to go away at 55+ but wouldn’t swear that it totally goes away. The sound is hard to describe but is kind of a repetitive low “womp-womp” type noise. Most noticeable at lower rpm say about 1100-1300. Have taken back to tire shop and they balanced tires again. Do not think it is tires as it does not make the noise except in 9/10 gears. If I lockout the 9th and 10th gears and run the same speeds in 8th, I do not hear it. Not trying to make a big deal out of nothing but the sound annoys me and more importantly I’m concerned something may be up with transmission or rear end. No heavy clunking/grinding sounds or hard shifts that I’ve noticed. Anybody got an idea on this one?

resurrecting this from the dead, but... any chance you've discovered anything new regarding this issue since you posted?
I actually traded the truck in last July on a 2024. Never got worse or better. Had about 20k miles when I traded. Incidentally my 2024 which is a lariat gasser has never had this issue with 14k miles and counting. Hope this helps
