2000 Excursion OBD woes
new to the forum and hoping you all can help. Ive got a 2000 Excursion v10 that won’t connect to the SCT Livewire and seems to have an impossible to clear P1000 code. I am not saying those two are related, but I am running out of other explanations.
I’ve been to the junkyard and found that other excursions have the same wiring for their port as mine, but later (gasoline) models have an additional orange wire that the 2000’s don’t have.
I’ve tested the tuner in a buddies’ 2005 F250 (diesel) and it connected fine, while I still keep getting General Error code 21301. I even sliced out the old port and wired up a new one to rule out the connector itself.
before I go buy a new ECM or something, was hoping you all could help me understand what might be going wrong.

to pass readiness, you need to do a certain number of start stop cycles, maintain 55 mph for a certain time, fuel tank between 1/4 and 3/4, and a few other things.
on my 2014 with 6.2 engine it took close to 6 months and 7200 miles for the 02 sensors to finally set readiness and get rid of the P1000 code.
