Or am I just getting impatient in my old age. Seems to be taking about 2 weeks from the mailing date last two times. Normally wouldn't care but it's holding me up from finishing a job on one of my vehicles.
Seems like since I have been using Blackstone it has taken about two weeks from mailing to get results emailed. Other places some of my clients use for aircraft and other equipment seem to take about the same.
I just had one done and it did seem to take longer than it used to. However, when I called them to verify that they indeed had my sample, they indicated that they had just received it. This was more than a week after dropping it into the mail so at least a part of the delay may be USPS.
Well tomorrow it will be three weeks and no word. Will call today. I sent another sample Saturday from another engine by overnight mail, they said if I do that they automatically check it the same day or the next day. I need that one pronto as that vehicle is scheduled for a long trip in three days and we had a coolant issue which is fixed but need to know if it was flushed enough.
Finally received the report today, along with the overnighted one I sent Saturday. If you ever need your report in a hurry, just overnight or next day air it. You don't have to notify Blackstone, when they receive one that has been overnighted or sent next day air they automatically jump on it and get it to you the same day. There is no extra charge from Blackstone so the extra cost is your overnight shipping which is $28 or next day air which if I recall was $20. That was from Arizona, your area may differ. USPS is definitely the way to go, UPS and FEDEX are about 2 to 3 times the cost.
