I looked and searched and didn’t find a brake drum removal for Rockwell drum brakes 1980’s. Turns out my leaking bleeder valve was a bad wheel cylinder. So I’ve got the cylinder coming Tuesday and wanted to know if I need any special tools to pull the rear drums off.
You can pull the whole thing--duals, hub and drum if you pull the axle shaft and remove the large nut holding the hub and bearings to the axle housing. But since you are going to swap wheels, you can wait and just pull the hub if you can't get the screws out of the drum etc.
There's a thread with pictures. I'll find it later and post a link.
There are several sizes. I think you can get a socket for $30 +/-. Some folks use the hammer and chisel method but you'll not be happy with the results. Channel locks might work but you really need to get the torque spec for installation and use a torque wrench with a socket.
