I have a set of the tube side steps and I can’t stand them. Way too slippery when wet and with a handicapped wife I don’t even want her stepping on them.

My dad as a set of nerf bars with some expanded metal steps on them that work well for him, but I don't think they would match the look I'm going for.
I used the Ford black with the plastic top piece. They don't stick out too far and I can get in and out over them and work for the wife. Bought them from Ford parts dept., no drilling, all the attachment points are already on truck.
