Diff oil?
Differential gear oil for a standard 78 F100 with a 300 engine
id assume 80w-90? Or was that for the steering gear box... Hoping to find some answers and see what you guys use for diff oil and steering box

Rear 9" differential fluid, yes standard 80/90 gear oil. As far as steering box fluid? Do you have manual or power steering? Opening up that can of worms it just asking for it. Some say trans fluid, some say power steering fluid. Some will say mineral oil based power steering fluids.
A lot of people ask, “Is power steering fluid the same as transmission fluid?” While ATF and power steering fluid are both hydraulic fluids, ATF features different modifiers and detergents that are specifically designed to remove dirt and grease from the transmission system.
I use power steering fluid in my power steering system. PERIOD.
