I was buying plugs at my Ford Dealer (they give me good prices) and the tech said from time to time he has to replace crank sensors on a 6.2L. Usually at very high mileage, I am pushing 200K already.
I popped the hood and he said the intake has to come off then you pull the sensor in the back. He also said you get to change the intake gaskets.
Anyone run into this? Not really an expensive part, just a bit of extra work.
I wouldn't be overly concerned with that parts replacement as preventative maintenance. Ive replaced very few of those on 6.2L trucks and ive been servicing fleets since the 6.2L was introduced. My customers for the majority keep their 6.2L trucks well past 200k miles.

He said it's not common. He also said there are still plenty of fleet 11, 12, etc. rolling around with crazy mileage and just good maintenance.
