Voltage Regulator Pigtail

Hey all, I'm new to all this so any help would be much appreciated. I'm trying to figure out how to wire up my new voltage regulator pigtail. It's a 78 f250 with a 460. The current pigtail only has one green wire going to the S terminal on the regulator (second on the right). I had already cut it in this picture, but here's the old pigtail:

The issue is, the new pigtail I got has two wires going to that same S terminal (both are white as you see below). What do I do with that second wire on the new pigtail? I'll obviously splice one of them into the green wire I cut, but not sure about the second white wire on the new pigtail.

When referencing electrical diagrams, it shows that two wires are supposed to go off the S terminal, one green and one white with a black line. The white with black line wire is supposed to go to the alternator, then to the electric choke. The green wire is supposed to go into the harness.

Like I mentioned already, mine only has one green wire at the s terminal on the regulator pigtail, which if you follow that green wire, it takes you to this connector. I labeled where the other wires are going:

If I connect the S terminal to that one green wire, am I good? Or do I need to splice into the white with black line wire that goes from the alt to the choke with the second white wire on my voltage regulator pigtail?

In case it's relevant, here's what it looks like if you follow the white with black line wire from that black connector in the above image to the choke:

And then here's what the choke looks like:

Any thoughts?

Don’t want to be the one to burst the bubble. Throw it all away. Save yourself some future aggravation and do a 3g upgrade. More amps, internal regulator. Less wiring and connections to fail and no light dimming with all electrical on a rainy night.

I wish it were that easy. Can't afford a new alternator at the moment. Also the one I have works...just needed a new pigtail for the regulator which cost a couple bucks. When the time comes for a new alternator I'll do a 3g swap.

I think I paid 20 bucks at a local pull a part. Grab the fuse and all the wire you can. Have alternator tested at your favorite parts store before install. All the info is on this site to do the install.

Few thoughts.
Yes, most people ive talked to really like their 3g alternators. There are a number of reasons why you might want to stick with a 1g (I will for sure), especially given you have a 460 (factory J-code I assume) truck and may be wanting to keep it original.
I'll also assume you have the gauge cluster with the ammeter and oil pressure (as opposed to the mere idiot lights.
That is the difference in the two voltage regulator pigtails. if you have the ammeter, you don't have/need the 4th terminal.
As for your choke, I recently researched this extensively when cleaning up a lot of wiring on my '77:
The factory electric choke used a white with black stripe AC voltage source coming from the alternator.
You aftermarket Holley is designed for a 12v source,
It would appear to me that they reused the 2-prong connector for the original factory choke and throttle stop solenoid. And simply used the switched 12v for that solenoid to now power your choke.
That is precisely what I did in my wiring cleanup (although I made a very 'sanitary' install with crimped non-insulated barrels and good shrinksleeve).
Also, back to your first photo, the 'bullet' socket at the end of the yellow wire originally went to a capacitor next to the VR, I believe to be a radio interference suppressor. Prolly won't hurt you to be missing unless you listen to AM radio a lot.
