How do you set timing on a 1996
No F350 with a 460

Get the truck up to temperature. Shut off the the engine. Remove the spout plug on the driver’s side fender then restart the engine. Using a timing light, adjust the distributor until it is at 10° BTDC. Is that what are you asking?

Why do you suspect that the timing is off?
